2 lbs of lean ground beef
3 large eggs
1 tsp of sea salt
1 tsp of Italian seasoning
pinch of dried basil
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 cup of gluten free bread crumbs homemade or packaged from the store
2 1/2 tbsp of grated pecorino romano cheese
1/4 tsp of ground black pepper
-Preheat oven to 450 degrees F and line two 9 x 13 baking sheets with parchment paper.
-In a medium size mixing bowl, combine ground pork, ground beef, eggs, seasonings and bread crumbs with a large spoon or by hand till well combined.
-Roll the meat mixture into 1 1/2 to 2 inch balls and place on lined baking sheets. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Add either homemade tomato sauce or a jar of gluten free spaghetti sauce to slow cooker.
-Place the cooked gluten free meatballs on paper towels and soak up any extra grease.
-Add to your sauce and simmer on low for 4-5 hours till done and all the flavors have time to meld!!!
-Serve with gluten free pasta
